Plating with veneers

Veneer coating is executed by our skilled staff using last-generation machines, according to the latest standards and technology.

The backing board (plywood, chipboard, MDF, or other) is glued on both sides and covered with veneer of various woods. It then passes through the hot press for the time required to fix the gluing.

  • Before delivery, the panel is squared and sanded.
  • Machining can also be done with materials supplied by the customer.

Plating with polyurethane glue

Using the hot-melt polyurethane system, we can glue on backing panels, materials of different natures to each other: HPL laminates, aluminum sheets, iron, plastics, polyethylene, glass, rubbers, polystyrene, polycarbonates, and so on.

Our facility uses single-component Class 3 polyurethane adhesives certified IMO MED (fire rating) and calender pressing that ensures an accurate, defect-free finish.

The panel is coated on both sides with polyurethane glue and laminated with the required material. Finally it passes through the rollers of the calendering machine for a few seconds and is ready for use.

  • Before delivery, the panel is put to size according to the customer's specifications.
  • The backing board (plywood, chipboard, MDF or other) can be provided by us or by the customer
  • The material to be coupled is provided by us or the customer.

Veneer splicing

The veneer sheets, after being trimmed, are coated along the sides with special glue on both sides. They are then fed into the splicing machine, which joins them together until a sheet of the size desired by the customer is obtained.

  • Machinable thicknesses range from a minimum of 0.6 mm to a maximum of 3.0 mm.
  • Depending on preference, we can splice to run and/or book.
  •  Veneer, in various woods, can also be supplied by the customer.
